Sparrow the missing bird

The Sparrow bird once had an important role in the everyday lives of many people. They were used to seed crops and take care of pests. However, these days, they are endangered species.

"Human activities have resulted in the reduction of sparrows’ natural habitats and decreased access to food sources," said ornithologist Dr. Michael J. McGowan to the International Business Times."

The population of sparrows has been declining in the Indian region. One of the causes is that they are one of the favorite targets of sparrow hunters. Another factor that can be attributed to their decline is that they are being poisoned by farmers to protect their crops.

This section will cover two factors that can contribute to the decline in sparrows: Sparrow hunting, and poisoning by farmers.

Sparrow hunting is not a legally recognized profession, so this activity goes undetected and unchecked by the government agencies in India. The work carried out by these hunters involves trapping live sparrows using nets and then either shooting them or throwing them into boiling water. They also use poisons like zinc phosphide pellets on crops which ends up poisoning many other birds as well as humans who consume these products because birds feed on these crops as well.

There have been efforts made by some organizations through this issue awareness campaigns, but it would take time for it to gain

In the Indian region, the sparrow is always seen as a symbol of good luck. It is one of the most common birds in India and has been for generations. Nowadays however, there are fewer than 30,000 sparrows left in India. The causes for this decline are unclear but experts believe that it may be related to agriculture practices such as pesticide use and intensive farming. For example, some farmers will set up electric wires specifically to kill off sparrows that come near their fields.

One way to save the sparrow is by setting up nesting boxes near electric wires so they can avoid being electrocuted. Another way would be by providing food (grain) sources closer to where they breed and live so they don't have to go far distances looking for food which would also reduce their chances of being killed on a farm field's electric wire

The sparrow bird is on the verge of extinction due to things like hunting, habitat loss, and pesticide use. Sparrows thrive in areas where there is plenty of food around so if we help them find more food and decrease their chance of becoming prey we can help save them from extinction.

With human help, we can bring sparrow birds back from being endangered and make them a common sight in every city again!
